Team
TATIANA POGGI is an architect and researcher. She obtained her degree with honors at the ETSAA Universidad de Alicante and her Master in Architectural Communication with honors at ETSAM Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. She is a PhD candidate at the same university. She is teacher assistant at UDLA Universidad de las Américas de Santiago de Chile, at Master in Architectural Communication UPM and IED Instituto Europeo de Diseño in Madrid. Also, she has been guest teaching at ETSAA Universidad de Alicante, UNAB Universidad Andrés Bello de Santiago de Chile, and The Bartlett School of Architecture UCL. Her work has been exhibited in MoMA New York, 16th Venice Architecture Biennale at Spanish Pavillion, Matadero Madrid, Art gallery Habitación 34, COAM Colegio Oficial Arquitectos de Madrid, ARCO Madrid among others. Her work has been published in books like Emergencias de lo poshumano or Documentos de su tiempo: dibujos de jóvenes arquitectos españoles and editorials such as AD España, Arquitectura Viva, Archdaily, and collaborated with articles for specialized architectural media. She has been selected in the II Debate Day for the Law on Architecture and Quality of the Built Environment (PECA) for the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda of the Government of Spain. She has given lectures in different art and architecture institutions and conferences. She is a finalist for the Arquia and Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando Research Scholarship in New York. Her work has been awarded with Premio COAM Difusión 2023. She is founder and co-director of ESPECIE.
JOAQUÍN GARCÍA is an architect and researcher. He obtained his degree and masters with honors at the ETSAA Universidad de Alicante. He is teaching at UDLA Universidad de las Américas de Santiago de Chile and guest teaching at ETSAM Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and ETSAA Universidad de Alicante. His work has been exhibited in MoMA New York, 16th Venice Architecture Biennale at Spanish Pavillion, COAM Colegio Oficial Arquitectos de Madrid and COAMU Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Murcia among others. He has given lectures for various institutions such as Liga Nacional de Estudiantes de Arquitectura (Linea México), UPV Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, COAMU Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Murcia, CENDEAC Centro de Documentación y Estudios Avanzados de Arte Contemporáneo, Espacio Molinos del Río etc. He is a registered architect in Spain and has practiced professionally since 2013. From the beginning of his career he has been in charge of the design and construction of different projects and program like housing, office, medical center and retail. The most representative being Coliving Suiters of Alicante (2022) and Virgen de la Caridad Hospital of Cartagena (2018). He has received several awards for his work: Architecture Awards from the Region of Murcia -Regional Award in the Public Space Category (Fuente Álamo Parque Tecnológico 2018), Regional Award in the Interior Design Category (Hedera Helix Dental Clinic 2017), Mention in the new construction category (Mandarina Coleóptera offices 2021). His work has been awarded with Premio COAM Difusión 2023. He is founder and co-director of ESPECIE.
